If you are an existing client and want to use our music in audio visual programming covered in the UK by PRS for Music blanket licensing (eg BBC, ITV, SKY), you do not need to appy for a licence.

What is Production Music? Production music aka library music or stock music is music composed, recorded and produced for use in film, television, radio and other media.

Why use Production Music? Production music is easy to licence either on a one off basis or under a blanket agreement. All the rights are owned by one company as opposed to commercial music where the rights will be split between record labels and music publishers. The cost of production music is much less due to not having the overheads of commercial music such as A&R, promotion & distribution.

What is the quality of the music like? Today’s production music is of the same high quality you would get from commercial acts. In fact a lot of production music is created by people who work in the commercial music industry.
